SAEDRAN:
Saedran let out a weary sigh as he lowered himself into his chair. His arm ached tonight, his shoulder alternating between spikes of pain and a dull throb. With a scowl of frustration he rubbed idly at the joint and clenched his fist tightly. How aggravating. Reattaching his arm had been painful, especially with his nerves reforming. His shoulder was marked by a large, angry pink mark where the skin grew irritated. It itched. It hurt. He was hungry, but didn't feel like eating, and above all he had grown very aggitated with the new comer on board, his once-hostage turned crew member, some how. Slamming his fist down on to his desk, he let out a slight growl, letting out his frustration and muttered darkly to no one in particular, "Damn you, Malus!"

Hearing his words something stirred from the corner of the room, and an old dog forced himself up on trembling legs. Its head swiveledside to side, its one and only remaining ear flickering slightly as it listened for its master. The ragged beast limped over to him on three legs, and when it sat, its head rested in Saedran's lap, its tongue gently lapping against his hand. Saedran looked down at the dog - the old German shepherd, and all his anger burned away, leaving nothing but exhaustion. Reaching down, he gently rubbed behind his remaining ear, studying the ugly thing with its one eye, and the patches of fur where the dog had been scarred, "Hey there, Old Man."

MAHRHI:
It was just recently discovered that Mahrhi’s talents did not rest with cooking. However, that was fine for Malus did enjoy doing the cooking when it suited him. Mahrhi helped… where she could. The crew finished their meal and she was now cleaning up the mess left behind gently humming under her breath and thinking. A slight clatter made her chin rise from wiping down the table, Malus had placed a black colored tray down full of food from that nights meal. She arched a brow and only a small grin appeared on his features, “I need you to take this to the Captain.” She stared at him, straightening her back as she stopped cleaning the table. “He did not come down for dinner again.” He nudged the tray closer to her and before she could let out a murmur of protest, he vanished passed the swinging doors into the kitchen.

She stood at the Captains door for at least fifteen minutes. Malus purposely did this to make her highly uncomfortable. He said he would get her back for almost burning down the kitchen. She took a shuttered breath and knocked softly on the door. “Its Mahrhi…” She nipped her lip and heard nothing for a while, so she spoke again. “I bought dinner…with me…”

SEADRAN:
Saedran paused at the knock and scowled at the door. For a moment he considered ignoring the soft timid voice, though after a moment of deliberation, he got to his feet and walked over to the door. Old Man watched him and huffed, the dog laying down with his head on his paws now that his master's attention was taken from him. Opening the door, Saedran paused as he looked at the girl, his marred face set into a scowl.

He resisted the urge to rub at his aching shoulder, and without his shirt on it was easy to see that his chest was heavily scarred from a life of combat and violence. He looked down at the food in her hand and reached for it, his hands brushing briefly against hers as he took the tray. Frowning slightly, he paused and murmured in a low, dangerous voice, "Why is it cold?"

MAHRHI:
The door opened, the Captain positioned himself defensively between the crack, there was no looking passed him to see what mystery would be looming behind the door. Did he always spend long hours in there? Since she had been on the ship, his sight had been minimal, and when that was stated, she meant non-existent. What did it matter anyways? She got what she wanted, she was with the only person that could protect her from going back home.

While her thoughts ran rampant; she stared at him with her wide grey-purple colored eyes. She did not realize this until he reached for the food, his fingers reaching towards his goal, only curled her fingers tighter against the tray in reaction. “You were not at dinner.” It was the first response that came slipping from her lips, but it was followed by a soft murmur, “Because nothing stays warm forever.”

His frown deepened at her blatant observation, and a low sigh escaped him, "Which is exactly why Malus sent you to me with dinner." He gave a slight pull on the tray, and his eyes narrowed slightly. When she refused to let go though, he only let out a sound of frustration and exasperation before letting go of the tray and turned back to his room, "I don't want anything from you. Go away," and with that, he shut the door with a bit of force. Leaning against it, he let out a sigh of aggravation, and pinched the bridge of his nose. He looked up in time to see Old Man struggle to his feet and hobble over to him before once more sitting in front of him and licked his hand, the dog's head pressing against his leg.

What other reason would Malus have besides torturing her? She resorted back in a soft simple tone, she was very blunt, it was came from her Aunt Val, but she said everything in her mind, he paralyzed her lips and only made them clamp shut. He slammed the door in her face, causing a puff of air to blow back her hair and make her jump slightly in place. Her soft delicate fingers began to slowly curl into a fist. No thank you? No appreciation for a kind act? Malus sent her here to ruffle her feathers and she was not about to let that happen. He did not want anything from her? Oh, really?

She stood there for at least a few minutes, her shadow being cast under the door under crack, to still show her presence. Her lips trembled with irritation and she was fighting the need to say what she wanted. "Fine." If he wanted nothing from her, then just...fine. Her witty remarks or sarcasm got thrown out the window when she was with him, fine was the best and most forceful thing she could think of. "Starve." She still stood there, cold tray in her hands, her feathers successfully fluffed.

Saedran heard her muttered words and tilted his head back with a deep sigh, resting it against the door. What did she want from him? What did Malus expect? He didn't want to admit he was hungry, but some part of him felt an irrational sense of irritation. Turning, he suddenly pulled the door open and glared at her, the dog peeking from behind his legs to look at the girl. Old Man simply huffed and got to his feet. Shaking himself out, he walked over to Mahrhi and idly licked her leg before meandering out into the hall.

The man watched the animal and simply shook his head. His irritation faded a bit, and he took a brief moment to carefully consider her. "Fine. Go set it over there." He indicated to his desk set mostly in the center of the room. His quarters were clean and formal, as if they were only a place he slept, and never actually lived in. Suddenly someone called over to him, and the sight of a woman coming up to him in a wheel chair, legs covered by a blanket made him frown slightly. "Go on. Don't. Touch. Anything." He pushed past Mahrhi and went over to the woman. There was a brief word before she handed him a small box and turned to leave. Taking it inside, Old Man followed after him and took his sweet time to go over to his bed and lay down, as if there was nothing important enough in the world to bother him. Something about watching the dog made the man's shoulders slump, as if under some great weight.

The door opened and her eyes met his intently. Her lips parted slightly to speak some words to him, but he spoke first. Irritated, as always, with a slight happy tiny of annoyance was in his tone. This made her eyes rip away from him and too his feet, where she spotted an unlikely inhabitance of the Captains room. An Adorable, but ugly, dog. She slowly began to bend down and reach her fingers towards the animals head for a quick scratch between the mangled ears. “Does he always sound so cheerful?” She stated as suddenly he brushed passed her towards a woman in a wheelchair that came by. She regarded the woman with a soft smile, before slipping off into Saedran’s chambers.

Tray thoughtfully in hand, she went inside, everything was in complete and utter order. Not a pair of underwear on the ground or an ounce of disorder. She went to go play the tray on his desk, but her eyes could not help but to wonder about. He said she could not touch, but he could not do anything about her looking at things. Her eyes spotted the dogs’ bed and bowls positioned neatly next to it. She gazed down at her tray, then to the bowls, then back to the tray again. Without a second thought, Mahrhi cleaned the contents of the tray into the dogs bowl. Oh, and she made sure to get ALL the contents in the dogs bowl, she would hate to make a mess. She placed the cleaned tray on the side of his desk when her eyes befell on to the Cello in the corner of his room. Her eyes sparkled, forgetting all warnings, her fingers left the platter and her body began to motion towards the instrument. Her pale fingers reaching out to touch the bow resting alongside the Cello.

(The room is too dim to see that it was hers, etc.)

Saedran had come back in time to see her reaching for one of his prized possessions - at first he paused, caught with mixed feelings at the sight of it; his heart suddenly leapt in his chest and realization struck. As quiet as a shadow, he snuck up behind her and snatched her hand just mere inches from touching the instrument, "Don't. Touch. Anything." He repeated, but his words were a nasty hiss. Jerking her away from it, he gave her a light shove towards the door, before turning back to it, looking it over with some strange obsession as if he was afraid she had somehow harmed it. He knelt down and frowned at the sight of the plaque etched into the wooden stand it rested on, a single word engraved in the brass. "Hope."

He suddenly looked tired, and when he stood up his tone seemed to drop in pitch, echoing a faint hint of his emotions, "Go now. You've come and did what you were supposed to do, now leave." He turned his back on her, though his shoulders seemed strangely stiff, and the muscles taut, flexing instinctively as he walked over to his desk. He paused at the sight of Old Man happily devouring his supposed meal, and a low sigh escaped him. He was already too tired for this.

The cello was her musical instrument. Hers. The low barring melodic symphony that straddled right between her thighs. The wooden masterpiece was the embodiment of power, consuming her every ounce of control. Nothing but passion dictated her fingers movements against the thick, hardy, metal strings. Creating music from the heart; something's could never be played twice, for the heart was a fickle thing.

He touched her, she became paralyzed. Her body temperature felt constantly like freezing point or deep space. Her thick lavender hair covering most her features from his harsh glare, but it did not take a genius to know the expression on her face. He scooted her rump towards the door. He spoke more harsh words and when she turned around her lips slightly parted so return them, but she regained control. Taking a few steps towards him she reclaimed the clean tray. Turning on her heels and left towards the door. But before she went fully to the door she gave a few affectionate strokes to the top of Mans head, then went straight to the exit. Once through, she lifted her chin to see the Captain sitting once more in his chair. She shut the door.

Making her way back to the kitchen she shoved the platter into the sink with a soft sigh. She began to rub the bridge of her nose. Malus was conveniently still in the kitchen, sitting on the counter top fiddling away with an apple, carving at the soft flesh with a knife. "You still have a dining room to clean." Her sighs could be saved for later.

Saedran looked down at the very, very happy dog who munched away at his food. With a shake of his head, he leaned over and gently patted between his ear and the space where the other was missing, "Enjoy it while you can, It's probably going to kill you some day." He rose out of his chair and sighed before taking his time to slip into a new shirt, the fabric clinging desperately to his toned body, revealing every inch of chiselled muscle. There was no room for risk. He paused at the door and looked at the jacket he had come to actually like, the duster hanging on a lone peg. He quickly shrugged into it and stuffed his hands in the deep pockets, and slid into the heavy fabric, the collar covering his face.

Slipping quietly out of his room, he turned and literally marched down the halls, his motions rigid and forced as he passed along the errant crew member off on one task or another, productive or otherwise. No one so much as said a word to him, their voices dropping to low murmurs and eyes meeting the floor. No one dared looked him in the face. He made his way to the mess hall and without any regard, stepped into the large, empty room. Spotless. Malus knew how Saedran wanted things. He took his time to make his way to the back of the room and came walking into the kitchen, seeming un-phased by the presence of the other two. He grasped Malus by his shirt and suddenly tugged him off the counter on to his feet.

Snatching a cutting board from its resting place and a knife, he set to work - moving methodically as he began to prepare a meal of his own; each movement precise and with a dangerous dexterity, the knife cut through the flesh of a variety of vegetables and meat, and before long he had a pan on the stove top, heated and frying the variety of ingredients. He stood still as stone as he waited, eyes fixated on the contents of his dinner.

"You can start with the dishes. I finished the mess hall." He stated idly and pointed to the pile of plates and utensils with the tip of his knife. Mahrhi slipped a cloth out of a drawer in response to the young raven haired man. There was a grin that played on his features as naturally as it was so breathe. "How did it go?" Mahrhi flashed a slight glare at him as she tied up her hair with quick movements. "The dog enjoyed your cooking." There was a slight laugh from the male. "Old man has fine tastes." He restored and turned his attention to the woman who was rolling up her dresses sleeves. "And manners too." Mahrhi murmured under her breath and began to run the water to fill the basin prepping for the soap.

Seadran dominated the room as soon as he appeared. Even dictating the whole scene like a conductor of an Orchestra. Malus let his body be moved off the counter, but as soon as Seadran went to chop his ingredients he nonchalantly slipped his ass right back on the table while placing another shaven apple in a bowl. He was making something to do with apples this evening. While Mahrhis body went ridgid the second The captain came into the kitchen. His presence made her uneasy, a rumbling feeling in her stomach as he effortlessly sliced various items flawlessly. The way he held a knife, it was frightening. "Mahrhi..." Malus mused as he grabbed another apple from the bag next to himself. "You're Letting water over flow." Her attention snapped back to the sink and her cheeks went scarlet as she snapped the water off. Her eyes locked down on the dishes and did not remove themselves for the longest time. The silence between them all after a long while killed Mahrhi. The two men blissfully adoring the peace and quiet, there was not need to speak between the two, communication was effortless between them sometimes words were not needed. "Do you play ?" She finally asked as she set another clean plate on the rack to dry.

Like so many times already, Saedran let out a sigh of annoyance. He set his attention to the task at hand but suddenly whirled and slung the knife at Malus, stabbing through one of his apples, "chair."

Normally he didn't care what Malicious did, but today it was clear he was not impressed. Once more the room lapsed into silence and he followed the typicalness of cooking. At her question, he stopped entirely, and his voice dropped in pitch, replacing his usual cold demeanor with a wistfulness, "I... can... but no. I don't play."

‘Oh’ Her lips motioned, but the word did not make it out. She went back to the blissful repetition of washing the dishes; dip plate in water and soap, scrub until clean, place on drying rack. It was simple enough she could not mess it up, right? It took her a moment to find the words she was looking for, “I… can …” She found herself repeating his words slightly as if a song bird, a nervous trait she did with anyone. “But no, I do not play … anymore.”

Malus would only slip off the counter if Seadran approached him, he would do it in a sly fashion, as if he meant to slip effortlessly off the counter as soon as he would come forth. They were, in Malus’s mind, a good time-reaction distance between the two males. “Anymore?” Malus stated as he placed another naked apple into the bowl. “Why is that?” It was hard to see if he was really curious or the fact he just liked pushing conversation, learning, taunting, and teasing.

Finishing off the last plate, she ran her hands down her apron to free them of the water-soapy substance. “I umm…” She stammered trying to think of the right words to state WHY she did not play anymore. “Story for another time?” She gave a weak smile, not wanting to get into a sensitive topic this evening. “What are you two making?” She restored and took a step towards Seadran to see what he was preparing. Malus’s was just pealing apples, not all that interesting.

Cold Dinner Empty Re: Cold Dinner

Post by Aldrid Mon Sep 21, 2015 1:36 pm

Saedran regarded her with a strange silence about him, his eyes impassive though something other than his usual reaction seemed to dance behind them. For the first time he seemed to actually show some sort of interest. He stepped aside slightly, revealing the pan he held in his hand with the medley of vegetables and diced meats, "Nothing in particular. Just food." For the first time he gave a civil response, as if some part of him were still human. He emptied the contents on to a plate and went over to where Malus sat, once more pulling him off the table and sat down to eat.

However his eyes never left Mahrhi, not for long anyways. He picked at the food and ate bits of it here or there, but never seemed to actually enjoy the meal. It was painful to watch with how meticulously he seemed to play with the contents in front of him, and something about the way he stared it was almost thoughtful - lost in a world of his own. The silence once more began to wear on, before he finally got to his feet, finding no more interest in the food. Instead he walked over to Mahrhi and grabbed her by the shoulders. Spinning her around, he lifted the back of her hair, his eyes searching the back of her neck, though when he found nothing there he wasn't entirely convinced.

He stopped his search to walk over and lock the door, and shrugged out of his jacket. "Take your clothes off," he said suddenly. He turned and looked at her with eyes full of danger, seeming to threaten her if she didn't listen. "Either you take it off, or I will." He calmly walked over to the counter and lifted the knife he had been using since his arrival. He held it in a loose grasp, only watching. Whether he had to cut it off or she stripped, there was only one result after that, and that was a very careful search until he found what he was looking for. A small symbol engraved on her hip.

Spire. All of their projects were marked, a small, almost unidentifiable mark that was normally left on the base of the neck - claiming them as property. It didn't matter to them, all that mattered was that they were sure to let the rest of the universe know what was theirs. A soft sound escaped him, caught halfway between a sigh and a slight choking sound, anger and a very small sliver of sympathy roiling in his stomach. "Malus," He murmured suddenly, his voice going cold, "I don't care where she goes, but she is not to be alone from now on. This is an order." He shrugged off his jacket and draped his jacket over her shoulder, before he turned her about and tied it shut, hiding the tatters of her dress. "To my quarters. Both of you."

Even if his response was civil, it was still bland and general. She would take what she could get from the damnable man. The side-step was formidable though, appreciated response to her question. In Spire she was fed a very select verity of foods, plain and chosen carefully for her consumption or in other words nothing exotic was allowed. Mahrhi was as if a child, who could never have the option to pick what she wanted off the kids menu. So to her, it was not just ‘food’. Her expression softened nodding to him in a response, if he said so. No reason to press further.

“Apple pie.” Malus effortlessly broke the tension between the two while filling the air with a scene of purpose in his words. His eyes lingered on Mahrhi for moment before he flicked his knife in the direction of the pantry and cooling unit. “Get out: Flour, White and Brown Sugar, Cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg…” His voice trailed off as Saedran came forth, he dodged his advances this time by weaving towards the fridge. The raven haired man’s goal was: eggs, butter, and lemon juice. With ease, he collected what he needed and set it on the table. “Mahrhi how is it going in there?” There was a slight grumble from inside the depths of the pantry. She had a tiny frame, barely reaching five foot five, sometimes this affected her ability to do simple tasks. Such as reaching the top shelf. Malus appeared behind her, a silent hero, curling his fingers around her hips to extend her up towards her goal. She gasped at the sudden feeling of warm hands upon her, her fingers grasping the vials cinnamon and nutmeg. Malus placed her back on her feet and when the woman went to go say thank you, he placed a finger to his lips—this was their little secret.

“Apple pie is an art form Dear,” He watched the tiny woman place the ingredients upon the table. “I take it very, very seriously...” There, there was that wicked grin that made even Mahrhi feel weak at the knees. “Mhm.” That was only response she could manage about this highly classified topic. Malus curled his slim fingers around knife he was using earlier for shaving the apples, he walked over to her, weaving the knife between his fingers. He approached the tiny woman, towering over her with purpose, and his eyes locked on hers. “I trust you will keep everything you see a secret,” His grin twitched from ear to ear. Without warning he rose his knife to touch the base of her collar bone, dragging the back of the knife upward, skimming the frail ghost skin of her neck. One slight flick of the wrist was all it was going to take. The knife trailed the plump lip structure as he spoke, “Keep that pretty mouth shut.” The purple haired woman chin was tilted upwards only following the direction of the knife, heart beating away like an Indian drum, and she could not help but to wonder; did they enjoy tormenting her?

If there was such a thing as boundaries; they were knocking them all down. Click. The two pairs of eyes went towards Seadran as he locked the door to the kitchen. Malus seemed nothing but bemused and answered to his companion’s words, “Must I?” He took a few steps away from the little woman and went back to his apple pie, slicing the flour bag open and sprinkling some on the table to prepare for making the doe. The only way to get Mahrhis eyes to shift from Malus to anything or anyone else would be the Seadran and his demands. Suddenly, her head started to spin with wild thoughts, horrid, and sinful thoughts. Her cheeks color burned cherry, she took a step back from them both, her rump forced up against the edge of the table. Her fingers skimming the surface of the table behind her. He stripped off his jacket and she panicked, nails slightly curling against the wooden counter. No, no, no! Simply no. If he got any bright ideas, she would scream, so fucking loud, and—but who could save her? No one. “I cannot.” Mahrhi barely got out the words stuck in the back of her throat, but it was the truth. A lady never tied her own corset nor did they rarely ever undo them. The Captain was the type of man to get angles drunk on rose water. She needed to accept her fate, but how could she?

Cold Dinner Empty Re: Cold Dinner

Post by Aldrid Mon Sep 21, 2015 4:30 pm

Saedran didn't take no for an answer. When he gave an order, there was only compliance. Without thought, he put a careful hand on the base of her chest below her throat, holding her still against the counter while the knife flickered in his hand, deftly slashing away at the fabric along her slender shoulders. He watched as it slithered to the floor, and the sight of the corset keeping her shape made him frown. He quickly spun her around and with one powerful movement, slashed down the length of her spine, the knife cutting through the strings of the corset and the rigid fabric burst from her body. He didn't waste any time peeling her down to nothing but her skin, and searched every literal part of her body. There was no room for protest.

Once he had found what he thought, his jacket found its place along her shoulders, covering her in the heavy fabric, and then his orders came - both were to go to his quarters and that was all to be said. He bundled up Mahrhi's ruined clothes and shoved them into Malus' arm, "Take these. Dispose of them. No one knows, understood?" His eyes met his only friend's but the look he gave him wasn't his usual coldness, but that of the Captain's to his subordinate and the only one he trusted. "Not a single trace of it."  He didn't wait for a response. There was only Saedran's word, and obedience.

He grabbed the girl under her arm and pulled her close to his side before unlocking the door and stepped out into the quiet dining room. "Stay close." He muttered under his breath, before walking her across the room and out into the corridor. Saedran was quick - moving with a purpose as he took her to his room. If anyone saw the two, they either looked at them with confusion, or the girl with pity. Had she done something to upset the Captain? It was ill-fated to do such a thing.

once in the privacy of his room he quickly shut and locked the door before walking her over to the chair and shoved her into it. He moved to the closet and tore it open, stripping a hanger of a pair of his shirt and trousers, both crisp and wrinkle free. Without regard to her privacy, he quickly took back his jacket and paused when he finally seemed to notice there was a young naked woman sitting in his chair. His movements were slower and far gentler when he began to dress her as if she were a child, pulling his shirt down over her head, and the sweat-pants up; the fabric was heavy and loose on her slender hips, but he jerked the draw string closed and deftly tied it off. They wouldn't stay on very well, but at least it was enough.

He didn't say anything to her after that, and simply went and sat on the edge of his bed, back rigid and eyes trained on the door, waiting for Malus to finally arrive. Every once in a while his concentration broke enough for him to glance over at the girl, something behind his typical impassive expression - to the more intuitive, he radiated a sort of protectiveness of her but in her fear it was easy for such a notion to be lost to darker thoughts.

Cold Dinner Empty Re: Cold Dinner

Post by Admin Mon Sep 21, 2015 6:04 pm

The devil advanced. Her mind howled, no, no, no! There was this unknown blazing fire, provoked by fear, which he inflicted upon her without consent. The look in her eyes was that of a doe about to be slaughtered by a wolf, life flashing before her eyes, and the only thing she could do to prevent the outcome was run. A crowd’s act. A child’s game. Her muscles tensed as he used the knife with precise ferocity. Her thin clothes did not last a chance. At one point she tried to reach her hand up to smack him, but he twisted her frame around so her back was vulnerable to him. Her nails dug against the wooden table, curling thin shavings under her nails, and forever mark the table of this horrible event.

Corset removed, one arm curled around her bare front, protecting herself instinctively, or Malus would be getting a show. Her other hand was planted firmly on the tables edge, nails almost breaking at the pressure she was applying upon the soft wood. His hands loomed over her body, like a strip search, what the hell was he looking for? A knife? Gun? Lord, it was not like she had the capability to do anything danger. That was Trinket. He parted her thighs, there was a growl that rumbled in her chest. She fought him, trying to clamp her legs back together as quickly as he savagely explored her for his answer. Of course, her protest was in vain. Malus was letting Seadran do this to her? She lifted her chin to meet the raven haired man’s eyes, but he was too busy working on rolling the dough out.

The heavy leather upon her shoulders weighted her down like a ton of elephants. The sudden addition of weight made her body feel as if she was dragging it off the very floor. All she wanted to do was punch the man square in the face, but that was not logical, fighting him would only make the situation worse. He grabbed her arm and ordered her clothes to be destroyed. Malus sat there, smirk on features, as the clothes floated down near him. “Done.” Was his response to the ordeal. All Trust Mahrhi had given to Malus was shattered in an instant. He would continue finishing his pie before going to the chambers.

Stay close? What, that was a choice? She huffed slightly at him, her frame glued next to his submissively. They walked down the hall way, but she did not see anyone, her eyes pointed downwards, she did not bother with looking at Saedran either, her vicious glare would be reserved for later when she could really lash into him the only way she knew how. There was a wrinkle in her nose when they entered his room and locked the door.

Her body hit the chair with a soft thump. The soft lavender locks in disarray around her form, giving her some type of coverage when he stripped her of his very jacket. Her legs slightly crossed and arms snuggled up to cover her beasts the best she could. Her eyes were adverted from him this whole time, never daring to glace up and give him the death glare he deserved. No, needed. A child, that’s what she felt like when he began to dress her. That was the reason why she left Spire, she was done being used, played, and treated like a child. Was that all shell ever be seen as. Tears began to form in her grey hues, but still she refused to even address him with a mere glance. He disgusted her, make her stomach revolt, and tempted to vomit on his perfect-spotless floor.

He left her there, dressed, standing. Her body trembled with unknown emotions; extreme violation, disgust, betrayal, and so many other words she could not even began to express in her instant rage. “I ha--“ Her fingers curled into petite fists. Her mind itching for the correct words. No, she did not just hate him, she wanted to do something far greater. “I will ki--.”

Malus knocked.

Saedran looked at her as she struggled to speak, but the girl was quickly silenced by the knock. He rose to his feet and walked to the door, but not before he stopped in front of her and turned to face her, turning his dark gaze on her, "Don't make promises you can't keep." He stepped in closer to her, and his voice dropped to a low murmur, holding an ominous note in what he said next, "You'll only get one chance. Make it count." He reached beside her and removed a gun he kept in a drawer and set it down in front of her, before turning his back on the girl and walked towards the door. He admitted Malus into the room and turned to look at Mahrhi, unsure to find the weapon levelled at him, or usual timidness.

He calmly walked over to the bed and sat down once more, indicating for Malus to shut the door behind him. Old Man sat up and looked in the direction of the new comer before giving a soft woof in welcome, and put his head back down to sleep. "What purpose did Spire give you?" he murmured suddenly, and turned to look at Mahrhi, the gun still waiting expectingly, providing her with an option.

Cold Dinner Empty Re: Cold Dinner

A deep sadness washed over her, each wave rolling passed, surpressing her into the gentle comfort of depression. Her demons howling in her mind, barking to be set loose, but her manners and upbringing said otherwise. The gun was set before her, and her eyes lingered on the structure. Temptation gripping at her soul, clawing at her to be set free. Her fingers slowly curled around the handle of the war machine. “I would rather with a dull, rusty spoon…--” She muttered, before slipping her hand away from the weapon. There was no honor and satisfaction in shooting him outright.

She lowered herself to sit back in Seadrans chair. Mahrhi let out a soft sigh and rubbed the bridge of her nose at his question. The chair was so massive, that her feet did not touch the ground when she sat it in, so she pulled her legs up. “You just…” She inhaled as much air as she could into her lugs before she let out another breath, preparing her mind to speak as bluntly. “Sexually harassed me…and you want to know about—“ Malus knocked and he was let it, shutting and locking the door behind him. In his hand he had a slice of apple pie with a scoop of ice-cream on a plate, with a spoon, and a cool glass of milk. He said nothing, he just motioned for Mahrhi to take the desert as a peace offering. She accepted and bought the warm food to her body. Her fingers intently curled around the spoon, more than half tempted to toss it in Seadrans direction.

Saedran looked at Mahrhi as the pie was given to her. A gift. An offering - appeasement, and comfort. Things he didn't have. He felt a strange longing, and a dull ache in his chest, ancient feelings he hadn't known he even had - his inability to feel being enough to bring him this far. Spire took that from him, his humanity, his joy, his ability to love; so when he watched her eating that pie, he had to turn his attention away from her, the emotions lost to both of them, dismissed as nothing more than just his usual ability to observe. He got to his feet and walked over to the desk, his fingers slipping around the gun and lifting it from the table.

He remembered when he was younger, when he had first picked up a gun - the pain and suffering had been enough that he had tried to bring it to his head and end his pain; he remembered then a flash of instinct and anger took over before he simply shot his instructor. Much to the pleasure of his overseer. His grip tightened on the weapon and he ejected the clip, and snatched it with a dexterous hand. He popped the chamber and a single round popped out, like its lead breatheren, he caught it and quickly pocketed it before depositing them in a safe place.

"Spire. You bear its mark on your thigh, so tell me - what is your purpose as another project?" He took in a slow, measured breath, barely audible though the tension in the room could be cut with a knife. Old Man let out a soft sigh and got to his feet before hobbling over to Saedran and sat on his foot, the dog pressing heavily against his leg, and licked his normal hand. Saedran didn't look down at the dog, but idly patted his head, the beast seeming to remind him that things would be okay.

She never had pie with ice cream before, the combination was captivating and divine. Simply, something she could never live without now. The clicking of her spoon against the porcelain plate was the only sounds that was heard. There was a still eerie silence, about them all. Malus crossed his arms and lent against the wall near Saedran. He knew he would not have been summoned if it was not important. Why strip the poor girl? What was the cause of that? He ran his fingers through his black hair and crossed his arms over his chest. He watched Mahrhi eat, yet his eyes did not turn away like The Captains did.

Mahrhi felt instantly sick when he spoke of Spire. She set the plate upon the desk and cradled the glass of milk. Her eyes staring at the milky substance, her mind lost. Her petite frame still curled up fully in the huge, overly sized, armchair. She seemed to melt into it, hoping that she’ll vanish. Her throat tightened and her thoughts wavered to the Man she was supposed to be getting married too. The ring looped around her sliver neck suddenly felt heavy between her breasts. “To get married and have children.” Her legs slightly pulled a little closer to her frame. Is that why the mark was on her thigh? Was she crafted to be beautiful to attract another conquest for Spire? A King? Prince? Captain? High Class Warrior? Was the mark only placed there to show a sign that a man belonged pumping between her thighs and procreating for Spire? Creating children that the Company would agree upon. Perfect children, no flaw or weakness. Was that not Spires ultimate design.

Saedran didn't say anything, letting the silence wear on. After a while he looked at Malus and murmured, "she is to be guarded at all times. Her things will be moved here and you'll find an extra cot." His words had a low, somber weight to them before he got to his feet. He moved over to the cello, slow and thoughtful and he reached out to it, but never touched, like wishing for something beyond him.

He felt a need to say something, but no words came to her. Instead he eventually turned around and looked at him, his eyes conveying exhaustion and a small hint of sad sympathy. Eventually he found the words he wanted. "You... you are safe here. Welcome to the one place in the entire galaxy where Spire's fingers can't touch."

“We need to talk later.” There was clearly things that Malus needed to be filled in on. He only knew his fair share about Spire, but the way Saedran was acting concerned him. He was off his rocker, mentally unstable, not the normal calm and composed badassery – Malus liked it. He flipped his chef’s towel over his shoulder. “A cot, is that all you need?” He went towards the door, to get final instructions before he left the room completely. Now, it was just Mahrhi and Saedran.

‘Safe?’. Mahrhi could not help but to blink at that comment and look completely confused. What was he talking about? He just sexually harassed her and now was speaking so fondly of her well-being. They said woman were complicated. Her eyes went soften, rumbling with laughter in them, but she refused to let the laughter explode from her stomach. “Keep me safe... From Children and a Husband?” How did he plan to do that? She nipped her lip, and pulled her knees deeper to her chest. What was he keeping from her. Everything he said, he was not making sense. Save her from children and marriage. Well, how heroic.

Saedran frowned slightly and propped his elbows on his knees, his perfectly straight spine curling, and the muscles in his legs tensed as if he was ready to lunge forward at any moment, a predator poised for the slaughter. He carefully rose to his feet and paced about the room again. Something about being around her left him restless, "Spire is more than what they lead most to believe." His tone dropped with the weight of his words and when he looked at her, he didn't even notice when he rubbed at the pain in flaring in his shoulder again. It was clear it really bothered him.

He wasn't sure what to tell her - how much she already knew, but judging by her reaction it wasn't much. His cold eyes found hers, and when he spoke there was a deadness about him, as all the life seemed to drain away, leaving nothing more but a heart of stone, "Do you understand what they actually are?" His jaw quickly clenched shut, and his fist tightened into a fist. He turned about again though and once more walked to the opposite side of the room. He felt so out of place with her now, the silence breached and his sanctuary stolen. She was just a naive girl in this otherwise cruel existence.
